To begin working in a new community, collaborate with local community groups to cultivate their interest in your programs and engage them as advocates and partners to connect their communities with your services. The individuals and organizations you engage should be active influencers in the local community. In particular, when seeking to engage with an audience that is new to you, consider focusing on organizations with strong community service or civic engagement missions such as:
